Standardize your customer configurations in Microsoft 365 Lighthouse

We're excited to continue enhancing our default baseline in Microsoft 365 Lighthouse to provide a set of tasks that help Managed Service Providers secure users, devices, and data in their customer tenants to ensure customers remain secure and productive in a scalable way. This post introduces tasks we added to our default baseline that are focused on several key areas, including new areas like user education and Microsoft Teams. We've also added several tasks focused on Microsoft Teams. From configuration of an attack surface reduction policy, to enabling cloud updates for Microsoft 365 apps to ensure apps are on the latest security and feature updates, we've made it even easier to ensure all your managed endpoints are protected and in a consistent state across your customer tenants. Introducing the section backgrounds in SharePoint Pages and News

We are excited to share that we're updating the section background feature in SharePoint Pages and News. SharePoint now lets you add an image or gradient color to the page sections from a new set of options. Lets you personalize the sections backgrounds with your own images. A see-through overlay has been automatically added to make the text easier to read when you set an image or gradient color as section background. The first version of Section background is in 100% production already. With this update, SharePoint Page and News authors can set section background color or image to make it an appealing experience. We are excited to see the continuous growth on the submissions of the SharePoint Framework solutions to the app source and on the usage of the SharePoint store for extending experiences for SharePoint and Microsoft Viva. It enables the same code to be used easily across the Microsoft 365 with this widely adopted tooling which uses industry standard tech with easy and automatic SSO and hosting. Deprecation of SharePoint add-in and Azure ACS authentication models - UX powered extensibility should be transformed to us SharePoint Framework powered implementations. This deprecation does not impact SharePoint Framework solutions. Additional capabilities and features for SharePoint Framework solutions in Microsoft 365 as part of the SPFx 1.18 release. Introducing organizational messages in the Microsoft 365 admin center

To support your organization's communication efforts, we're excited to announce the public preview of organizational messages in the Microsoft 365 admin center. Within the experience in Microsoft 365 admin center, you will be able to manage your organization's organizational messages made within various admin experiences as well as create new fully customized messages. To ensure the right message is sent, your organization will also be able to go into the organizational messages experience in Microsoft 365 admin center to review and approve customized messages submitted by authors in your organization. Admins and comms professionals alike can use organizational messages in Microsoft 365 admin center to inform and enable their organizations. Organizational messages works well alongside other Microsoft 365 admin center features (e.g., Usage reports, Adoption Score and Experience insights (Preview , giving admins an easy mechanism for showing their organization features that are available to try and enjoy, such as Copilot in Teams.
